Abundantia
As part of the Czech Republic’s Guest of Honour program at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the SCHIRN presents the first solo exhibition in Germany by artist Anna Hulačová. Her figurative sculptures combine influences from Surrealism, Socialist Realism, and Czech folk art into a distinctive cosmos, in which she explores the relationship between humans and nature from an ecofeminist perspective. In the process, bees and concrete become symbols of a utopian–apocalyptic vision.
