Situated between the Frankfurt cathedral and the renowned Römer square, right in the heart of downtown Frankfurt, adjacent to the reconstructed "new old town" and just a few steps from the River Main, the SCHIRN is easily reached by public transport. And there are a whole host of sightseeing attractions and versatile hospitality offerings in the museum’s direct neighborhood.

USING PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Subway lines 4 and 5 take you directly to “Dom/Römer” station. Take the exit A "Römerberg". If travelling by streetcar use the lines 11,12 or 14 and get off at “Paulskirche” stop.

BY CAR OR COACH

Approaching from the A5 interstate, take the “Westkreuz Frankfurt” exit. If approaching from the B648 highway or the A3 or A66 interstates, take the “Offenbach/Kaiserlei” exit. Keep on driving towards downtown (“Stadtmitte/Zentrum”). Then follow the signs for “Parkbereich D, Dom/Römer”. A parking garage with immediate access to Frankfurt’s historical heart is located directly under the SCHIRN. Disabled parking is available at “Parkhaus Römer”, Domstrasse 3 as well as on Braubachstrasse. There are designated parking spaces for coaches on Berliner Strasse near Paulskirche and on the Mainkai embankment.
