As part of the Czech Republic’s Guest of Honour program at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the SCHIRN presents the first solo exhibition in Germany by artist Anna Hulačová (*1984). Her sculptures blend Surrealism, Soviet Brutalism, and Czech folk art into a distinctive cosmos, in which she explores the relationship between humans and nature from an ecofeminist perspective. In the process, bees and concrete become symbols of a utopian–apocalyptic vision.
