Eugenia Stamboliev is a philosopher of technology and media scholar at the University of Vienna. Her research focuses on the ethical and democratic aspects of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructures, moving between philosophical traditions and media theory. She pays particular attention to topics such as trustworthiness, democratic participation, visibility, and equality. She was a visiting professor at the Brandenburg University of Technology and is currently a visiting research fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII) at the University of Oxford, while also serving as a project lead at the Prague University of Economics and Business. She holds degrees in media and communication studies from the Berlin University of Arts and a doctorate in transdisciplinary studies from the University of Plymouth (UK).
