TICKETS & ADMISSION
Admission prices to the SCHIRN vary depending on the exhibition. If you wish to see several exhibitions in a single day, why not take advantage of a Combo Ticket. The ideal recommendation for families: a Family Ticket, which is valid for two adults and their children up to the age of 17. Pupils, students, severely disabled persons and their escorts, and unemployed people pay reduced admission. (Valid identification is required.) Adolescent and adult refugees pay 1 €. Admission is free for children under eight years old, members of FRIENDS OF THE SCHIRN and the SCHIRNCIRCLE and members of the Children’s Art Club of SCHIRN, Städel and Liebieghaus.
KISS GOOD-BYE TO QUEUING
Keen to avoid long waiting times and tedious queuing? Then be smart and purchase your tickets from the SCHIRN’s Online Shop. The ticket is valid for the duration of the exhibition. That way, you simply print out your ticket or save it on your smartphone, ready to present it at the entrance to the exhibition.

Situated between the Frankfurt cathedral and the renowned Römer square, right in the heart of downtown Frankfurt and just a few steps from the River Main, the SCHIRN is easily reached by public transport. And there are a whole host of sightseeing attractions and versatile hospitality offerings in the museum’s direct neighborhood.
USING PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Subway lines 4 and 5 take you directly to “Dom/Römer” station. If travelling by streetcar, it is best to get off at “Paulskirche” stop.
BY CAR OR COACH
Approaching from the A5 interstate, take the “Westkreuz Frankfurt” exit. If approaching from the B648 highway or the A3 or A66 interstates, take the “Offenbach/Kaiserlei” exit. Keep on driving towards downtown (“Stadtmitte/Zentrum”). Then follow the signs for “Parkbereich D, Dom/Römer”. A parking garage with immediate access to Frankfurt’s historical heart is located directly under the SCHIRN. Disabled parking is available at “Parkhaus Römer”, Domstrasse 3 as well as on Braubachstrasse. There are designated parking spaces for coaches on Berliner Strasse near Paulskirche and on the Mainkai embankment.
Have a comfortable journey to Frankfurt and back within three days with the Sparpreis Kultur. The saver ticket starts at EUR 39 in second class and EUR 49 in first class. Four further people may join the same journey and save EUR 10 each. It is valid within Germany and also available for ICE connections. Please note that the tickets are subject to availability. The Sparpreis Kultur is only available in combination with an entrance ticket to the SCHIRN KUNSTHALLE FRANKFURT at the DB travel centres and DB agencies within Germany. www.bahn.de/kultur

OPENING HOURS MINISCHIRN

The MINISCHIRN is a creative activity and experience space for children from 3 years to primary school age. While you enjoy the exhibition, your kids will be busy discovering the world of colors, shapes and structures. The MINISCHIRN encourages young kids to explore aesthetic phenomena and to try their hands at designing and experimenting.
Admission is free for visitors with a valid exhibition ticket, for members of the SCHIRN FRIENDS and the Children’s Art Club of the SCHIRN, Städel and Liebieghaus. You have been to the exhibition twice already and your child is keen to attend the MINISCHIRN again? Then why not use our Fanticket? For just € 15, you child can come to the MINISCHIRN three times. The Fanticket is available at the ticket counter and is transferable.
There is level access to the SCHIRN KUNSTHALLE from the Römerberg. We provide a wheelchair and mobile seating to visitors requiring this service. Parking for the disabled is available at “Parkhaus Römer” and on Braubachstrasse. For toddlers, you can borrow a buggy at the ticket counter for a refundable deposit for the duration of your visit. Individual tours in German Sign Language, in easy language or with detailed descriptions of the artworks can be arranged. Guide dogs with a valid ID may accompany their owners into the exhibition.
While visiting the SCHIRN, you may use free SCHIRN WIFI and share your impressions using the hashtag #SCHIRN or @SCHIRN – no password or registration required!
GROUPS AND SCHOOLS
At the SCHIRN, we offer visitors a wide range of art education programs – with innovative concepts for children, teens and adults. For private groups, companies and tour groups, we put together individual guided tours, creative workshops and much more besides. On request, we will organize foreign-language tours in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Turkish, or with a sign language interpreter. The SCHIRN’s art education team will be happy to advise you personally.
DRINKING COFFEE IS NOT AN ART
Why not meet up with friends for a cup of coffee or a meal in a leisurely setting - either before or after visiting an exhibition. Our SCHIRN CAFÉ BY BADIAS opens Tuesday, Friday - Sunday, from 10 AM to 7 PM and Wednesday + Thursday from 10 AM to 10 PM. The young and highly creative culinary team will spoil you with innovative ideas.
Each SCHIRN exhibition is accompanied by a publication. As part of the exhibition project, the catalog is its continuation in printed form and enables you to continue to engage with the art and issues addressed in the exhibition well after it has actually finished.
