The film to the exhibition: Thomas Bayrle

04:17

The artist Thomas Bayrle is a Frankfurt legend. The film about his major solo exhibition at the SCHIRN shows how his art highlights fundamental aspects of modern society.

Lorem ipsum

Thomas Bayrle addresses tensions between the individual and the environment, religion and society, industrially manufactured products and the technical apparatus used to produce them.
In the 1960s and 1970s, Bayrle laid the innovative foundation for his characteristic so called superforms. Repetition, connection and interweaving of single elements into an overall picture can be found today in almost all of the artist’s works: from painting, graphic art and sculpture to object art and video.
