Word Exchange
In the writing workshop “Wortwechsel” (Word Exchange), we draw inspiration from the exhibited works. Together, we approach the cinematic worlds of Wagner & de Burca with a writer’s curiosity — observing, listening, and creating texts in which images, voices, and movements intertwine. The focus lies on discovering a personal language — for what is visible as well as for what is invisible.

The works of Bárbara Wagner & Benjamin de Burca explore forms of togetherness in artistic practices that move between performance, music, and cultural resistance. They portray people who reinvent themselves — on stage, in everyday life, or in front of the camera — always in motion between reality and staging.
Saskia Hennig von Lange lives in Frankfurt am Main with her three children. Her many award-winning novels revolve around the relationship between human beings and the world. For many years, she has been leading creative writing workshops for children, young people, and adults in museums and cultural institutions.
Everyone interested in experimenting with language is welcome to join. No prior experience is required. Changing stations between the SCHIRN Studio and the exhibition invite participants to shift perspectives and engage in creative writing. Writing materials, art supplies, and seating are provided.
