Thomas Bayrle (*1937) examines fundamental aspects of modern society. In addition to the structures of consumption, urbanity, and technology, locomotion likewise plays a central role, as do pop and mass culture as well as (ersatz) religion. The SCHIRN is presenting a major solo exhibition by the Frankfurt-based artist.
