In the exhibition ‘Leonor Fini’, we’ll dive into a world full of mysterious creatures together and encounter the mythical phoenix and the enigmatic sphinx. Which form would I like to take on myself? What special powers would I then possess? In the workshop, we’ll design and create our own transformation masks using various materials, revealing a whole new side of ourselves in the process.
In autumn 2026, the SCHIRN will present the first major exhibition on Leonor Fini in Germany. Around 100 works, including paintings, drawings, photographs and objects, offer a comprehensive insight into the artist’s fascinating body of work. Influenced by the Renaissance, Symbolism, German Romanticism and magical Surrealism, Fini developed a distinctive visual language that bridges the realms of dream, myth and fantasy.
