Notes
The work is best experienced in the evening hours, when it’s especially atmospheric. The exhibition is open until 10 PM on Friday and Saturday (September 18 and 19)

While the exhibition explores how AI technologies are fundamentally changing our relationship with images, the project by conceptual artist and composer Tim Otto Roth examines how AI technologies are changing our relationship to music and, in particular, to the voice. The installation consists of 26 speakers arranged in three circles up to 15 meters wide, rotating above visitors. The sound is generated purely from sine tones, and the speakers also light up in spectral colors corresponding to pitch — from low red tones to high blue tones.

For the exhibition, the new composition “Vocal Revolutions” makes transparent the process by which AI generates voices and instrumental sounds.

  • The installation “Vocal Revolutions” is supported by the Aventis Foundation.
