Guided Tour With Detailed Descriptions of the Works
The inclusive tour creates new points of access through multiple senses. Engaging with her role as a woman and an artist is a central theme in Leonor Fini’s work. From the very beginning, she confidently staged herself as a freedom-loving, glamorous icon. In doing so, she developed a distinctive visual language marked by a dreamlike atmosphere and theatrical staging. Drawing on paintings, drawings, photographs, and objects spanning some 70 years, the exhibition traces Fini’s long and fascinating artistic career.
Through detailed descriptions of the works, tactile models, and material samples, the tour group engages in conversation.

In fall 2026, the SCHIRN presents the first major exhibition on Leonor Fini in Germany. Around 100 works — including paintings, drawings, photographs, and objects — offer a comprehensive insight into the artist’s fascinating œuvre. Influenced by the Renaissance, Symbolism, German Romanticism, and magical Surrealism, Fini developed a distinctive visual language situated between dream, myth, and fantasy.
