On the first day, we get to know unusual materials and combinations in the exhibition: honeycomb, concrete, and large-format installations. How does that all fit together? Inspired by Anna Hulačová’s “Alienbees,” we create three-dimensional fantastical creatures, shaping individual, imaginative figures out of clay using modeling tools. On the second day, honeycombs inspire us to design exciting worlds. We fold three-dimensional hexagons and reassemble them in new ways. From many individual pieces, a utopia takes shape as a collaborative artwork. Throughout, we explore questions about habitats, communication, and living together in community.
