In 2026, the SCHIRN celebrates its 40th anniversary. Since opening in 1986, it has become one of Europe’s most renowned venues for modern and contemporary art. The SCHIRN’s iconic postmodern building in the center of Frankfurt is undergoing a major energy-efficient renovation during the anniversary year. In the meantime, the SCHIRN will present its program until 2028 temporarily at the former Dondorf printing works in Frankfurt Bockenheim.
