WORKSHOP ON NS FAMILY HISTORY WITH DR. JOHANNES SPOHR

SATURDAY, 14 MAY, 10 AM - 5 PM

What role did my family play during National Socialism? Research in the archives can provide answers to this question. But how do you get started? And how can one correctly classify the findings obtained? In a one-day seminar, historian Dr. Johannes Spohr explains the possibilities of finding answers to one's own questions.

National Socialism continues to have an impact on today's society in many different ways. Many people today wonder what roles their family members, acquaintances, colleagues or club members played during this time. Those who set out on the path of research are not always in possession of extensive documents. Sometimes stories from the family provide the first clues. Some start the search without any prior knowledge. This is also possible, because today archives and institutions offer numerous possibilities to pursue one's own questions. But how do I get which information? And how are the results to be understood? Participants can address these questions in the workshop with professional guidance and support. The historian Johannes Spohr will lead through the day, providing basics, suggestions and tips, and addressing individual questions about research.
