In the SCHIRN INTERVIEW, Bárbara Wagner and Benjamin de Burca discuss their artistic practice, the background to their new production “Future of Yesterday” and their exhibition in the SCHIRN.

For over a decade, the artist duo [Bábara Wagner (\*1980) and Benjamin de Burca (\*1975)](https://www.schirn.de/en/) have been creating video works and installations in dialogue with other artists and collectives. In their collaborative films, Wagner & de Burca focus primarily on cultural movements and collective practices that take place outside the established spheres of contemporary art.
In this context, „Future of Yesterday“ centers on the bands *Blinded* and *One* as well as the hardcore scene and straight edge. Wagenr and de Burca also explain how the exhibition title “The Tunnels We Dig” connects the three works on display in the SCHIRN exhibition.

#### „The whole idea of collaboration has a lot to do with sharing – why, how and what we see and want to produce can be staged and build together.“
