THE CITY AT THE END OF THE WORLD
Lyonel Feininger dreamed of a distant city with houses and streets, with ships and locomotives, located somewhere at the edge of the world and belonging to no specific country. This motif preoccupied him throughout his entire life. He painted it, drew it, and carved a wooden toy city for his three sons.
DREAM CITY TO SET UP
From 1st grade (5 years and older)
On a low but wide strip of cardboard, you can paint and draw houses, other buildings, vehicles, or figures according to your imagination using Woodys or felt-tip pens. When set up in a semi-circle or circle, the painted cardboard strip resembles a cityscape.
DREAM CITY TO UNFOLD
From 3rd grade
What is the most important thing in a city? The school, the hospital, the houses, trees and flowers, transportation, or the people? A postcard-sized pop-up card is the result of the workshop where your "City at the End of the World" takes shape - with felt-tip pens or colored pencils.
