BIG ORCHESTRA IN JULY

Contemporary art has its own sound. Musical instruments that are sculptures at the same time represent a still relatively unknown, recent development in contemporary art.

For the duration of the exhibition, the SCHIRN will become a temporary concert hall: In the SOUND SESSIONS and WORKSHOPS, the sound of the artworks will be made tangible in live performances for visitors. A mobile display architecture creates a space in which musicians can explore the sounds of the instruments in ever newly created ensembles, after which they will be presented in the Big O performances. Particular highlights include the BIG O WEEKEND and the BIG O HANGOUTS, where artists turn their own works into sound.

Here you will find an overview of the BIG O SESSIONS and PERFORMANCES for BIG ORCHESTRA in July.
