SCHIRN ACTIVE SEMINAR

Woven objects
9PM

After a tour of the exhibition and examination of the large-format woven works by outstanding Norwegian artist Hannah Ryggen, participants will themselves get creative in the SCHIRN STUDIO. On a piece of corrugated cardboard, participants will use wool in various colors and thicknesses to create abstract color compositions. The cardboard frame for the weave remains part of the finished work and becomes like an object slide in sculptural form.

FEE 22 € plus entrance, incl. guided tour and materials

SCHIRN ACTIVE SEMINAR

American artist Lee Krasner is one of the pioneers of Abstract Expressionism. Throughout her life, she continually reinvented herself artistically, revising previously finished works or integrating her old work into the new. After a tour of the exhibition, which will focus on Lee Krasner’s collages, participants will then get creative themselves in the SCHIRN STUDIO. On paperboard panels or canvas, a mixed technique will be applied to create collages for which acrylic paints, canvas, and laid and rough-fiber paper will be provided. The latter can, in part, be painted or dyed, cut or torn and combined to create abstract compositions.

FEE 30 € plus entrance, incl. guided tour and materials
