The artist Anna Hulačová draws her art from a deep connection to plants and animals, with bees playing a special role. In the workshop, we design our own honeycombs out of colored paper, asking ourselves: What would our environment need to look like for bees to live well here? From these many ideas and honeycombs, a big, colorful collaborative artwork finally takes shape.

A joint tour of the exhibition followed by a workshop: a playful discovery of art and of the children's own paths toward creating and expressing themselves. The focus is on educational methods that foster imagination, creativity, and understanding in children.

The SCHIRN presents the first solo exhibition in Germany by artist Anna Hulačová. Her sculptures combine Surrealism, socialist Brutalism, and Czech folk art into a distinctive cosmos, in which she explores the relationship between humans and nature from an ecofeminist perspective. In doing so, bees and concrete become symbols of a utopian-apocalyptic vision.
