Leonor Fini thought a lot about her role as a woman and an artist. How does she show herself in her pictures? It is about love and secret powers. Her pictures are also about death and change. Around 100 works — including paintings, drawings, photographs, and objects — offer a comprehensive insight into the artist’s fascinating œuvre. Influenced by the Renaissance, Symbolism, German Romanticism, and magical Surrealism, Fini developed a distinctive visual language situated between dream, myth, and fantasy.
