# Accessibility

Our goal is to enable all people to participate in our offerings. In the spirit of inclusion, we continuously evolve and seek open dialogue. We are working to break down barriers and make art accessible to everyone.

It has around 320 parking spaces, including disabled and women’s parking spaces, is monitored by CCTV, equipped with lifts and is barrier-free. **Admission**
Persons with disabilities (with a disability degree of 50% or more) are entitled to discounted admission for regular exhibition visits. Accompanying persons of severely disabled individuals with the “B” marker on the disability ID card are granted free admission. Free tickets and discounted tickets can only be obtained upon presentation of the appropriate ID at the ticket counter.

**Access to Exhibitions**
All of our exhibitions are accessible by elevator. Wheelchair and buggy rentals are available on-site. Portable folding stools are also provided for the exhibition rooms. A disabled toilet is available, which can be accessed with an Euro key. ## Accessibility

1. Is the SCHIRN accessible? From the Dom/Römer parking garage, you can take the elevator from level -1 directly to the vicinity of the entrance. The Dom/Römer subway station also has an elevator. To reach the entrance of the SCHIRN, there is a paved ramp on the left side of the “Römer” exit of the subway station. This ramp leads around the SCHIRN CAFÉ BY BADIAS. Another way to overcome this slope without steps is the accessible elevator (accessible with a Euro key) at the Stadthaus am Markt. This elevator also leads to the vicinity of the entrance of the SCHIRN KUNSTHALLE FRANKFURT.

All of our exhibitions are accessible by elevator. The elevator is located on the right side from the entrance. People in wheelchairs can use the elevator easily. The buttons are low, and the elevator announces the current floor. Wheelchairs and buggies can be borrowed at the SCHIRN TICKET COUNTER. We also offer stroller storage at the cloakroom in case you do not want to bring your stroller into the exhibition. To avoid longer waiting times for people with disabilities, there is an information point in the foyer during larger exhibitions. On the day of your visit, feel free to go directly there to get your free ticket for the accompanying person. The staff at the SCHIRN TICKET COUNTER will also assist you with any other questions.

Accessibility verified: You can find the detailed accessibility report for the SCHIRN on the “[Reisen für Alle](https://www.reisen-fuer-alle.de/schirn_kunst_halle_frank_furt_249.html?action=detail&item_id=3781)” website.
1. What discounts apply for people with disabilities? People with severe disabilities (50% disability degree and above) pay a reduced entrance fee. Accompanying persons of people with the “B” marker in their disability card are granted free admission.

Free tickets and discounted tickets are available exclusively upon presentation of the corresponding ID at the ticket counter.

To save people with disabilities from longer waiting times, we have set up a mobile info point in the foyer for larger exhibitions. Please feel free to go directly there on the day of your visit, and you will be escorted past the queue to the ticket counter to receive your tickets. The staff at the SCHIRN ticket counter will also assist you with any other questions.
1. Can I bring an assistance dog? Assistance dogs with a valid ID are allowed to accompany visitors in the exhibition.
1. Is there seating available in the SCHIRN? There is a large bench in the foyer. You can take folding stools with you in front of the respective exhibition rooms. The seating options installed vary depending on the exhibition.
1. Is it possible to borrow a wheelchair on site? Wheelchairs and buggies can be hired on site. It is not possible to reserve a wheelchair in advance. The team at the ticket desk will be happy to help you.
1. Are there barrier-free offers? We offer public guided tours of our exhibitions in simple language, guided tours with translation into German sign language and guided tours for people with visual impairments.

Tickets for barrier-free tours are available in the [online store](https://schirn.ticketfritz.de/en/Home/Index), remaining tickets are available at the SCHIRN box office on the day of the event.
