Structured as ongoing workshops, individual courses provide the opportunity for in-depth exploration of concepts, methods, media, and techniques of visual arts. The thematic units – three consecutive sessions for children aged 6–9 and 9–12, and adolescents aged 12–15, and six sessions for adolescents aged 15–19 – inspire curiosity towards new approaches and encourage unconventional modes of thinking and expression.

A cotton bag will be designed to be a stylish eye-catcher using stencils and fabric paint. The motifs are symbols and letters from the world of hip hop.

BASIC TECHNIQUE KNOWLEDGE: WHO AM I? WHO DO I WANT TO BE?

What is real life like? What is fantasy like? How can fantasy be made real? Children and adolescents create dreamlike scenes in their own photos and with altered colors in painted surroundings using montage techniques.

ART KNOWLEDGE: BODY AND RHYTHM

FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS AGED 12–15

Dancing is one of the four pillars of hip hop. Through rhythmic choreography and poses, children and adolescents aged 12–15 learn how to show the world what they stand for.

FOR ADOLESCENTS AGED 15–19

The art of hip hop is showcased in the exhibition in various materials. From "classic" techniques such as painting and printing to fashion and jewelry design. In this workshop, adolescents will freestyle artistic techniques and transferhip hop topics according to their own ideas.

Hard and soft. Familiar and alienated. Pop culture and fine art. Cosmia von Bonin's artistic work moves between these concepts. In this studio course, the young people experiment with these opposites and implement them in various media.
