DISCOVER THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF THE MINISCHIRNIS

COLORS AND SHAPES

TRIANGLE, CIRCLE, SQUARE

As you can’t visit the MINISCHIRN at the moment, the MINI SCHIRNIS will come to your home instead! Join them in discovering the magnificent world of colors and shapes and learn to see things differently.

READY? OFF WE GO

Colors and shapes play an important role in our world. Our environment is made more vibrant through the wide range of colors and what we see is made up of different shapes. Wherever you look you will discover circles, squares and triangles all around you. And very often they are so well concealed that you only notice them at second glance. With a little practice and the help of the MINISCHIRNIS in no time at all you will become really skilled at tracking down shapes! In our ART BASICS FOR KIDS you can get to know the frog and the triangle

THE FROG AND THE TRIANGLE

WHAT YOU NEED: A PRINTOUT OF THE MODEL SHEET, SCISSORS AND GLUE. OFF WE GO!

INSTRUCTIONS

You want more? With triangles you can also create some wonderful things. Just download the model sheet and get yourself two MINISCHIRN frogs. Print out the two-page model sheet and cut out all the pieces. If you don’t have a color printer you can color the model sheet yourself using felt tip pens or crayons. The dotted lines and the small gray symbol show you where to fold the paper. Then carefully add some glue to the gray areas. Now stick everything together and there you have your first two MINISCHIRNIS

TIP! Find names for your two new friends and give them a real home. Use a large sheet of paper to create a wonderful lake complete with water plants and other animals.

THE CIRCLE AND THE SNAKE

EVERY SHAPE HAS ITS OWN SPECIFIC QUALITIES THAT PROMPT YOU TO RECOGNIZE IT. A TRIANGLE HAS ONLY THREE SIDES, BUT A CIRCLE HAS AN INFINITE NUMBER!

What you need: the print-out of the model she, scissors and glue. Let's get started!

INTRODUCTION

Many things in our surroundings are circular: wheels, balls, even donuts and some road signs. Take a closer look and discover all the circles in your world. With our ROUND IN A CIRCLE paper model sheet, you can take a little MINISCHIRN snake home with you.

Cut out the individual parts along the dotted line or on the colored outer line and stick them onto the paper however you like.

TIP! You can also stick the individual parts onto thin cardboard to make a snake puzzle that you can keep reassembling in different ways.

YOUR MINISCHIRNI AT THE HAIRDRESSER

Our MINISCHIRNIS have not been to the hairdresser for ages, either. So help them get a new haircut!

If you prefer great hair styles to snakes, then simply try using the DOT TO DOT model sheet. Using it, once again cut out the shapes and glue them together to form what you think would be the best new MINISCHIRN look.

By way of a hint! You could cut the individual circles up even further and create your very own, completely wild hair style

GORILLA IN THE SQUARE

A SQUARE IS A KIND OF RECTANGLE, BUT A RECTANGLE IS NOT A SQUARE!

WHAT YOU NEED: THE PRINTED WORKSHEET, A SHEET OF PAPER, SCISSORS AND GLUE. LET’S GET STARTED!

INTRODUCTION

You have to think outside the box in order to understand it! A square always has four corners, and four right-angled corners co to make up a rectangle, too. Usually, though, a rectangle has only two parallel sides of the same length, like a piece of paper or a school desk, which is what makes it different from a square. A square not only has four corners, but also always four sides of equal length that are at right angles to each other, like the six sides of a cube.

Use our GORILLA SQUARED worksheet to take the biggest MINISCHIRNI home with you! Cut out the individual parts along the dotted line or along the colored outer line and stick them onto the paper however you like.

TIP!
Use different arts and crafts materials to design a landscape for your MINISCHIRNIS where they will feel at home.

A REAL PAPER TIGER

Our MINISCHIRN cat won’t scratch, won’t bite and is guaranteed to be housetrained! Do you want to give it a home? Then get your hands on the CAT SQUARED worksheet and cut out the figures. You can fix the spider to a thread.
TIP! Print out the worksheet two times if you are a real cat fan, and then you’ve got a friend for your paper tiger
